Ingredients for Poha Recipes, Poha Recipe:
- Flattened rice: 2 cups (Chura or poha)
- Water: 2 cups
- Potato: 1 (chopped)
- Ghee: 2 tbs
- Onion: 1 (chopped)
- Raw peanuts: 1/4 cup
- Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric: 1/2 tsp (for coloring)
- Lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste
Method of preparation for Poha Recipes, Poha Recipe:
Take some water in a pan and soak the poha. Keep it aside. Take a large frying pan and heat it with ghee. Add raw peanuts, mustard seeds, potato, and onions. Once mustard seeds are tender add water into the pan, cover it and cook till potato and raw peanuts are tender. Drain of excess water from the poha. Add turmeric and mix it well so that the mixture looks light yellow. Add poha to the frying pan with other ingredients and mix it well while at low heat. Add pepper, salt, and lemon juice to taste.
