Ingredients for Maida Rava Dosa:
- 1 cup Rava or semolina
- 1 cup Maida
- 1/2 cup Rice flour
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Method of preparation for Maida Rava Dosa:
Mix up the rice flour, maida and rava with some water and make it into a even batter. Cover up and put it in a warm place for about seven hours for fermentation.
Heat a flat pan (Thava) and lubricate it with a spoon of oil. Put in some water in the dosa batter and formulate it into a thin batter. Transfer 1/2 cup of the batter in middle of the pan (tava) and speedily spread with outward spiral motion to form a lean pancake of about 8 inches in diameter. Dot the ends with small bit of oil and cook until golden brown. Using a spatula cautiously fold the dosa and take away from the pan. Repeat doing this with the residual batter to make additional dosas. Serve hot with chutneys or sambar.
