Sour Tomato Pickle RecipesIngredients for Sour Tomato Pickle:

  1. Tomato: 1 lb
  2. Red chilly: 10-15
  3. Ginger: 1 cup (chopped)
  4. Garlic: 1 cup (chopped)
  5. Oil: 1 – 1.5 cups
  6. Vinegar: 2 cups
  7. Turmeric: 1 tsp
  8. Fenugreek: 1 tsp
  9. Mustard: 1 tbs
  10. Salt to taste

Method of preparation for Sour Tomato Pickle:
Cut tomato into pieces and sprinkle salt and turmeric over it. Pour 1-cup vinegar over it and allow it to soak to 2 hours. Mix three fourth mustard, ginger, garlic, red chilies, and vinegar together well. Pour oil in a pan and put remaining mustard into it. Heat it till mustard crackles. Add fenugreek and fry it for 2-3 minutes. Add blended mixture to it and fry it further for 20 minutes. Stir it and get the mixture comes to boil. Oil will float at the top when the pickle is done. Take the pan off from the heat and cool it. Store in a tight container and use it for 1 year.
