Ingredients for Shahi paneer recipe:
- Paneer: 200 gms
- Onions: 2 (medium)
- Ginger: 1 oz
- Green chili: 2
- White pepper: 1/2 tsp (powder)
- Turmeric: 3/4 tsp (powder)
- Garam masala: 1 tsp (powder)
- Cream: 3-4 tbsp
- Dry fruits: 1/4 cup
- Milk: 1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil: 8-10 tbsp
- salt to taste
Method of preparation for Shahi paneer:
Cut paneer to small pieces. Put oil in a pan and heat it. Add paneer cubes in pan and heat it in medium heat till it is light brown. Keep aside the paneer pieces. Fry dry fruits and keep it aside. Make a fine paste out of ginger, garlic, onion, green chili. Fry it in the pan till it turns golden brown. Fry it for further 2-3 minutes after adding salt, white pepper, turmeric powder, red chili powder and garam masala. Add milk to the gravy. Heat it at medium heat till the gravy becomes thick. Put half of dry fruits while it is being cooked. Now, add paneer cubes and 1 tbsp of cream. Heat it for 5 minutes. Season it with dry fruits, coriander leaves and cream.
