Ingredients for Palak paneer recipe:
- Spinach: 250 gms
- Butter: 250 gms
- Cottage cheese: 200 gms
Gravy ingredients:
- Onion: 4 (paste form)
- Tomatoes: 3 (paste form)
- Ginger & Garlic: 1/2 tsp (paste)
- Butter: 250 gms
- Red chilli: 1/2 tsp (powder)
- Turmeric: 1/4 tsp (powder)
- Red chilli: A pinch (Kashmiri)
- Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method of preparation for Palak paneer:
Grind the spinach to fine taste after washing and boiling it in water. Deep fry the spinach paste in butter till it changes its color. Cut cottage cheese in small cubes, fry it in butter and keep aside. Take a pan and heat the butter. Add tomato, onion, ginger garlic paste to it. Add curd to these and deep fry it till it turns brown. Add spinach paste, chilli powder, salt, garam masala, turmeric powder and kashmiri red chilli powder. Cook it for 5 minutes while stiring it well. Now mix cottage cheese to it. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Serve hot with rice, roti or paratha.
