How to make Paneer?

How to make PaneerPaneer is an Indian word for pressed ricotta cheese without salt derived from Persian word for “cheese”. Paneer is only variety of cheese indigenous for Indian subcontinent.

Method of preparation for paneer:
Add citric acid in water. Boil the milk while stirring it continuously. Add the citric acid solution slowly and keep on stirring. Once the curd seperated turn off the heat. After 5 minutes, drain the liquid by keeping the curd into muslin cloth. Tie it with cloth once liquid is washed off. Put it under running water. Paneer should be kept under heavy load wrapped in cloth for 2-3 hours before using it in kitchen.
